Ezra has shown no interest at all in learning to move about, all he’s ever wanted to do is stand up or lie down and people watch. This is why it really surprised me that late Monday afternoon he started rolling onto his side and by Tuesday lunchtime had taught himself to roll over (left & right) from his back to his tummy.

He was very proud of this achievement but the new knowledge seemed to push some pre-learned stuff out of his head as he now seems to have forgotten how to roll from his tummy to his back, this results in him keep getting stuck on his tummy and calling out to be rescued – doh!

Tuesday night we also discovered that Ezra is very keen to feed himself, so much so that I had to give him a spoon of his own or sit there all night while he tried moving food from his bowl to his mouth using his fingers (such a slow and messy process).

After the meal I tried to wrestle the spoon away from him but he refused to give it up so I decided to get my own back by taking his photo instead. I can’t decide if he looks more like a tiny conductor or a little Harry Potter, ‘accio food’.

The two of them really crack me up, they’re always trying to make the other person laugh.
