Our house has spent the last 2 weeks in the grip of some horrible bug that Annie brought home from nursery. We’ve been coughing, sneezing, aching, sweating and shivering, all of us at various stages of ‘unwell-ness’.
Annie had it quite badly and spent the worst part of a week complaining of a stomach ache. She spent most of the time in her jammies, clutching a water bottle and toy, strewn across various bits of furniture or the floor. She threw up for the first time in ages and her toddler brian connected the bowl she was sick into with the act of being sick, so every time she saw it she panicked because she thought it would make her poorly again. She swung wildly between being a ‘brave little thing’, and an, ‘awful whinge-monster’ which I guess is a nearly three year old’s prerogative.

While the 3 of us were ill, Ezra remained aloof, he never once gave any suggestion that he was coming down with anything, even after his second lot of jabs at the dr’s. Instead he suddenly started looking about 3 months older, developed a stupidly cute belly laugh and found his hands finally. Here he is obviously pondering the cure for the common cold ;-)

You have to have the family sick bowl that’s kept purely for poorly kids and adults alike :-)
We do, but it’s also her drum, what she likes to carry her HappyLand people around in and the bowl she uses to mix her cakes in when she pretends to cook because it’s the only one she can reach out of the cupboard!
Who knew a sick bowl could be so multi functional! ;-)
