I have something to admit. I did a silly thing and actually prepared properly for winter this year, and so now it won’t snow!
I thought given all the warnings of snow storms and freezing temperatures that it was high time I actually bought the kids some snow clothes.
I chose a Trespass Splosh Suit for Ez which he loves and is perfect for wearing to the park in inclement weather. It’s nice and warm and big enough to wear over his regular clothes. I bought age 3-4 after reading some reviews that said it was a little tight and it fits him perfectly. He thinks the hood is fab and moans when I take it off, weirdo!
Annie ended up with some salopettes in ocean blue which are slightly too long but I’m hoping will last 2 years at a pinch. They’re very warm and she loves the rustling sound they make when she walks around in them.
I even decided to splash out and buy a sled so when it snowed I could haul Ez along in it on the school run. I specifically wanted one with a high back so he was less likely to fall out. Now I know this will just get used dragging the kids up and down the hallway and won’t ever see sight of the white stuff.
Sorry England, my preparedness has ensured another mild winter full of rain and mud instead of awesome snow and icicles.
Did you bother preparing for the winter storms or were you sensible and assumed they’d never come to pass?!
